hey, party people! most of you know this, but i’m finally on the world race! i’m training in georgia with the coolest community! i’ve been anticipating the race for awhile now, so to officially be here is so peaceful! i’m tenting in the woods, learning a lot about the lord, and growing with my squad! it’s not easy, but i’m too focused on glorifying the father to let anything change my attitude to one of complaint or upset. now let’s talk about life here in georgia 🙂

i get up in the morning, either awoken from my alarm or the outside noises, and go for a sunrise walk and then spend some time sitting in the lord’s goodness. haven’t been doing much walking these last couple of days because of the constant rain, but you get the idea. at 8, we eat breakfast. our breakfast usually consists of some type of egg and fruit. then i use the warm water to make some instant coffee. after breakfast, we have devo time from 9-10. that’s when i just study God’s Word and learn more about Him from the Word and Holy Spirit. at 10, we talk about what God taught us in our personal time with Him, then we go to a session where we are taught about some topic that will help us with the race. the speakers are so anointed and speak truth from the word. after a session, we debrief what we learned and then do some chores around the base to keep it clean. then, it’s lunch time! lunch usually has some kind of rice and greens and meat. after lunch, we have some free time for about an hour and a half. during that time, i shower or spend more time in the word and play a card game. then, we have a squad led session on fundraising or story-telling. or we have squad led worship or workouts. after that, we have another session where we learn about things from the word that will help us on the race journey. then we have dinner! it’s always so delicious! after dinner, we have team time and then free time! i usually head back to my tent around 10pm. it doesn’t sound very enthusing,  it the days are long and good. i wake up, most days, very refreshed and calm. the lord has been stirring up so much in my heart, and it’s been amazing to have time to just learn and grow with Him before heading out on the field!

now for an update! in october, before i leave for romania, i’ll be spending 2 weeks in louisiana working with Samaritan Purse doing disaster relief from the hurricanes. we’ll be doing manual labor to help people who’s homes have been distroyed while also sharing the gospel with them. be praying that the lord would give my team and i the strength to get through each of those days of manual labor and that we would be focused on bringing people closer to the lord. im excited to go see what the lord is doing in louisiana!

overall, im doing well! i’m at peace and i’m enjoying the lords goodness and learning to live the tent life. thank you to anyone who has encouraged me, supported me, or prayed for me! i still need around $1,300 (some money hasn’t hit that bar at the top yet). so if you feel led to give, i ask that you would pray about partnering with me in the spread of the gospel. love you all!

i do get my phone occasionally, but im also trying to be present there, so please be patient with me if it’s takes awhile for me to get back to you. thank y’all for everything!

all for His glory, raina <3
